Seven months old

Dear Eleanor,

You are a ray of sunshine; so smiley and sweet with a happy disposition. I am thankful daily that you are an easy baby.

  • You started crawling! You mostly crawl a little, stumble and then scoot yourself forward. You're not completely mobile yet, which is fine by me. (I'm worried you're going to choke on your brother's legos.)

  • Taken in September, the first time you tried crawling.
    • You can sit by yourself!
    • You have two teeth on the bottom and I think you top teeth are in progress because you always have your fingers or part of your sleep sack in your mouth.
    • You are a great sleeper (you fall asleep quickly and easily) but you do still get up twice in the night to eat. I'm not sleep training you yet because you are taking Hemangiol medication for your hemangioma, which can cause you to become hypoglycemic if you don't eat every five hours.
    • You continue to dislike patching. It's definitely a challenge.
    • Your dad and I are getting better and getting your contact out. He's becoming a pro at getting it out while I hold your hands down.
    • You are so much fun. Your brothers love you, especially Josh (I have to remind him about 20 times a day to be gentle. He plays a little too rough with you, knocking you down and rolling on you.) He frequently asks me to hold you and love to kiss your cheek.
    • We went to Utah this month unexpectedly for your dad's cousin, Clint's Bauer's funeral (he passed away from bone cancer). We stayed with your Aunt Lindsey and Uncle Justin and you got to see your cousin, Skye. Lindsey and I did a little photo shoot with our girls.
